Hello everyone!
In this letter we will discuss four topics:
1. The extension of disease control regulation from the 2nd of December to 9th of December.
2. An introductory video about Google Classroom workshop in the department of senior students in Vallaskóli.
3. The new web look of Vallaskoli’s homepage.
4. Kahoot quiz of the schools in Arborg.
Further:
1. The government has ratified to keep the disease control regulation the same until the 9th of December. This means that school activities will remain the same as they have been in these last days. Further information will be sent after the 9th of December of how we will go forward, e.g. about Christmas festivity on 18th of December.
2. Recently, Leifur Viðarsson a teacher in the department of senior students prepared approximately 15 minutes explanatory video on the use of Google Classroom. In the video he explains how to access the program and of its workings. Furthermore, he explains how the workshops (Smiðjur) works and how students go about their business and turn in assignments. 3. Yesterday, on the Iceland Day of Sovereignty, we published a new web look of our homepage. This is the fourth edition of the homepage. See www.vallaskoli.is
4. On Thursday night, on the 3rd of December, the duo Már and Leifur as set to hold a Kahoot quiz for the all schools in Arborg. The quiz will be dual. The middle department, 5.-7. grade, will start at 7:30 pm and the senior department, 8.-10. grade, starts at 8:30 pm. The prizes will be lavished for the first three winners. The quiz is hosted by the PA of all schools in Arborg. We encourage everyone to participate. We advice getting the Kahoot app beforehand to send in your answers. Also, it is good to have two devices, one for the quiz and the other one for sending the answers. The quiz will be live on You-tube where you will get further information.
